Catamini so stylishly for kids

vatimi Catamini so stylishly for kidsChildren’s fashion has been expanding steadily over the last ten to fifteen years. With parents willing to spend money on making their children happy, and children wanting to stand out from the crowd, and those designers able to make appealing clothes are doing better than ever. This is as true in the UK as it is anywhere else in Europe, and there are hundreds of different brands available.

One of the most popular brands is Catamini. They don’t want to make boring clothes, they want to make wonderful and exciting clothes. This starts with the design. Vibrant colours and lots of energy appeals to children and reflects the way they live their life. Gone are the plain and boring colours, gone are the plain and boring clothes. Kids don’t want formal clothes, they want exciting clothes.

There are interesting prints that give a trendy look to the clothes, and help the wearer to look unique. These are clothes to be worn every day, but that look special and original. Catamini’s innovative ideas and unique themes distinguish their clothes from the others on the racks. Every fashion designer would want the abilities that Catamini show in every one of their products.

The fabric that they use is always of the highest quality. Knowing how children can treat their clothes, parents do not want to buy shoddy merchandise. They need the clothes to be durable so they last for a while. Also, because children’s skin can be so sensitive, high quality materials prevent irritation.

The top quality fabrics used by Catamini can be machine washed repeatedly, and will come out looking and feeling the same as before the wash. They produce incredible stylish products that can be worn all day every day.

Boys and shoes

a 300x231 Boys and shoesBuying shoes for a young boy can be quite challenging for parents as boys tend to be quite rough on their shoes. Strenuous activity is part of being a child and this tends to wear out the shoes very quickly and they also become quite sweaty during play and this leads to unpleasant odours.

Buying a breathable shoe can be a very good idea and one of the best types of shoes are by Geox. These have a rubber sole which has been micro-perforated. This micro-perforation means that perspiration is prevented by ensuring the feet are free to get enough air. There is also a waterproof membrane which helps protect feet from getting wet. This design means that shoes will become less smelly than they might have been before.

For healthy feet it is essential that they have enough air and these shoes don’t just remove smells but they ensure that your child has healthy feet. Despite all these great features the shoes still look good and they have a leather sole which means that your child will be satisfied with the style. This will be particularly appealing to some parents as it can be quite hard to find shoes that boys like.

For those parents whose children are particularly rough on their shoes, even more than usual, there are a special line from the company which have extra reinforcements built into them. These shoes have a stitched look which adds strength while also looking cool. Feet also remain comfortable because they have a cushion textile sole inside the shoe.

All of the shoes are carefully crafted and there is an extensive range of styles in different sizes. This means that there will be something to suit any child’s feet and choosing to wear this type of shoe will mean that they are comfortable, supported and happy.

Many children are very selective about how the shoe looks as they want to fit in with their peers and so it is a good idea for parents to view the entire Geox range in order to find something that your child really likes.

J.Crew for children

jcrewf 300x196 J.Crew for childrenJ.Crew, the fashion label, has developed a range of clothes for the spring which has been specially designed for children. Top labels creating clothes for  children has become a recent trend and J.Crew are hoping that their line will be the latest success in getting children interested in high-end fashion.

Nowadays, people don’t have to be older to get interested in fashion. Many brands encourage children to wear very stylish designs and have made parents more fashion forward when it comes to their children. Many elements in children’s clothing are coming straight off runways and based on what adult fashion is doing.

The relay dress by J.Crew is going to be one of the most popular items among young girls this spring as it is something that can be worn formally but it also works as a casual dress. These are available in a range of bright colours which make it a great idea for the spring. Parents will probably want to combine the dress with a nice pair of leggings which gives it a more casual appearance and will make your child feel more comfortable.

It is expected that striped T-shirts are going to be very popular the spring and therefore many of the T-shirts coming out from J.Crew are like this. If you are looking for your child to have a trendy wardrobe this spring then filling it up with striped T-shirts is a good idea. Coloured tights as well as a stylish skirt will go well with striped T-shirts so it is worth buying these as well.

The double-dip skirt is another popular item that is a trend that is going to suit children of all ages. It is a powerful design that remains cute and it will make any child instantly stylish. Colour clashing is something that is going to be big this spring and many people will be pairing skirts with clashing T-shirts.

Extra amounts of sophistication can be added to a child’s outfit by utilising layering. This is also a great way to dress in the spring as it allows your child to be comfortable in whatever temperature. If the spring is a little bit chilly the company are also releasing a Peacoat which is very trendy. This coat is able to be matched with a great many other clothes including leggings and shirts.

The button-down skirt is another item that is going to be very popular and is something that is going to appeal to girly girls. This can easily be paired with a pair of tights and a monochrome T-shirt would also go very well with it.

Simplicity is going to be another trend this spring and this doesn’t mean the collection is going to be boring. Wearing simple clothes and then accessorising your outfit is a good idea. Accessories are a way to stand out from the crowd and they don’t need to be overly flashy, sophisticated accessories are the way to go and combining these with a simple outfit results in a very trendy and fashionable look.

It is sad that we still need to provide this confidential line but it is something that is needed in society and we can’t see this changing in the near future. We are continually working on new ways for children to contact us in a way that they feel comfortable with and get them counselling if they need it.”

Zara a British High Street invader

thereafter 300x218 Zara a British High Street invaderThe fashion world has been dominated by male designers for decades, and the High Street sensation Zara is no exception. Founded in the Spanish town of Corunna in 1975 by Amancio Ortega Gaina, the chain has gone on to dominate High Streets and shopping centres all over the world, with over 1,500 shops in nearly 70 different countries.

Gaina is not just one of the most important figures in fashion, but also happens to be the eighth richest man in the world, a fortune built on the back of the worldwide success of Zara and its parent company Inditex Group. Now the popular chain is expanding further by branching out into clothes for babies and children.

Zara has always been known for its individual style in the ranges of clothes, accessories and shoes for women, and the early signs are good that this individuality has been retained in the planned designs for Kiddy’s Class. With almost 300 designers working full time for the company, it is hardly surprising that Zara has always managed to stay one step ahead of the competition when it comes to setting trends.

The separate Kiddy’s Class stores are already starting to make their presence felt in some of Europe’s biggest shopping streets, with plans for further expansion in the future. Zara’s design team has found the move into clothes for children something of a challenge, as recent trends are for young people to dress in adult styles.  The Kiddy’s Class range aims to provide fashion-conscious youngsters – and their parents – with a choice that is stylish but will still leave children dressed like children.

Fans of Zara’s adult clothes will be happy to know that the same work ethic will apply to the Kiddy’s Class range, with stock rotating on a regular basis and new designs appearing in stores monthly. Again, the in-house team of designers keep the Zara range feeling and looking fresh – and can have a new outfit on the shop floor less than a fortnight after first sketching out an idea.

Prada Advertising Standards Authority complaint

a1 300x274 Prada Advertising Standards Authority complaintPrada have recently been accused of being irresponsible in their advertising and the Advertising Standards Authority has received a complaint that one of their latest adverts carry the theme of child suicide.

The advert pictures a 14-year-old girl crying by railway track and is a promotion for the Miu Miu range by the fashion giant. The ASA rejected the complaint however, stating that the image didn’t involve suicide but still ruled that the advert was irresponsible because it showed a child in an unsafe environment.

The child actress involved in the advertising campaign is Hailee Steinfeld who came to international prominence last year after being nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the movie True Grit. Prada defended the advert saying that it is not targeted towards children and only appears in magazines designed for adults, such as the fashion magazine Tatler.

They also state that in the campaign Steinfeld is not crying and was not asked to look at sad in any way. Instead they say that she is looking thoughtful and confirmed that there was absolutely no danger to her while the advert was being shot.

Despite this the ASA held their ground saying that the advert cannot continue to appear in magazines as no matter whether Steinfeld was in a dangerous situation or not, as the advert still implies danger.

The Authority stated, “This is a clear breach of the code and we will not accept this advert being published.” Prada is not the only major fashion company to come under fire for the use of child models recently and Marc Jacobs attracted a great deal of criticism several months ago for his use of Elle Fanning.
